I recently bought a Starbucks e-giftcard to send to someone, and at the end of my transaction, there was a button that you could click to "share" what a great friend you are on Facebook. Literally, word for word, that's what the description said.
"Share what a great friend you are."
That is so tacky. Remember when people used to value humility & flying under the radar? When people did things out of the goodness of their heart rather than doing it for attention? Sometimes today's society & culture deserves a major side-eye. It reminds me of Scripture where we are told to worship and pray in private and not in public. It makes me sad that things are done simply for appearances these days and not necessarily out of sincerity.
